I have been practicing labour and employment law since my call to the Ontario Bar in 2024. I hold a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Honours) from York University. I worked as a summer and articling student with the firm prior to being hired back as an Associate.
I am passionate about management-side labour and employment law as it offers the unique opportunity to be preventative and implement effective workplace policies. I enjoy assisting employers resolve grievances, wrongful dismissal claims and human rights complaints as well as prepare for collective bargaining.
I received several awards for academic achievement in law school, including the Goodmans LLP Award, the Makau Mutua Prize, and The National Association of Japanese Canadians & Roger Sachio Obata C.M. Prize for obtaining the highest standing in Osgoode’s course on International Human Rights.
I developed a passion for legal advocacy and activism through my work as a volunteer. I volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada at a law firm that represents 2SLGBTQ+ refugee claimants. I also worked at Parkdale Community Legal Services in the Immigration Law Division. My interest in labour and employment law developed when I participated in collective bargaining at Parkdale as part of the student negotiating team. This solidified my desire to work in labour and employment law as I experienced the satisfaction of having a well-researched negotiation strategy succeed.
In my free time I like to play soccer and read a good book.
