John (Jack) Haddad

Summer Student

I am very excited to join Hunter Legal for the summer of 2025, before returning for my third year of law school at the University of Toronto.

I have always been passionate about Labour and Employment law and Human Resources. I am a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and graduated from the Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a thesis and specialization in Human Resources. I have a particular interest in preventing workplace bullying and harassment; my undergraduate thesis looked at workplace bullying in non-unionized and unionized environments.

In law school, I worked as a caseworker in the Employment Law and Academic Appeals division of Downtown Legal Services.  There, I represented employees in workplace disputes and university students in academic appeals. I have also partaken in the first-year trial advocacy program, civil motions workshop, and Upper Year Moot. Outside the classroom I am a writer and actor for the Faculty of Law’s sketch comedy show, Law Follies.

When I am not in the offices of Hunter Legal you can find me wandering the streets of Kensington Market, rooting for the Blue Jays at the Skydome, or exploring the Toronto Islands.
